Mary Lou German, 66, of Arcadia, passed away at 8:08 a.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 22, 1949 to the late Alfred and Betty Ickes and she survives.
Mary is survived by her fiancé, Mark Huffman of Port Clinton; daughter, Sheila German Ludwig and partner Heidi Crook of Fostoria; son, Roger German of Findlay; grandchildren, Mary (Adam) Higgins of Vanlue, Danny German and Dawn German both of Hastings, MI, Stephanie German, Kayla German of Carey, Sophia, Shelly, and Tessa Crook all of Fostoria; and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings, Charles Ickes of Fostoria and Dean Ickes of Louisville, KY. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond German; sons, Ray O. and Brian L. German; granddaughter, Daphne German.
Mary was an avid lake goer and will be sadly missed by her extended family from Portage View Campground.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with a visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Pastor Dave Noel will officiate. Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Cancer Patient Services or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
