Marilyn L. Boney

Marilyn L. Boney, 82, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born on May 2, 1933 in Hamler, OH to the late Mary and Lawrence Gordon. She married William Boney on October 13, 1956 and he survives.

Marilyn graduated from Deshler High School and was employed by the IRS and then The Deshler Mailbox Company until she was married. After raising their four children, she went back to work for a distributorship of The Seyfert’s Potato Chip Company. She then worked at The American Cancer Society (Hancock County) and retired in 1995. She was a member of the adult choir at St. Michael Parish for 40 years and was a member of a parish bible study group. Marilyn was an avid reader, loved to travel, and spend time with her many friends and family.

Marilyn will be missed by her husband and sons Stan (Debbie) Boney of Youngstown, OH; Brad Boney of Austin, TX; Jeff Boney of Findlay, OH; her daughter Ann (Tom) Drake of Findlay, OH; her grandchildren Elizabeth and Steven (Meagan) Drake, Mollie Boney, Kaylee and Kami Boney.

A mass in celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Downtown on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Monsignor Michael Hohenbrink will celebrate the Mass. There will be no visitation. Interment will take place in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Findlay. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be made in her memory to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
