Richard L. Cook

Richard Lee Cook, 79, of Findlay, passed away on February 16, 2016 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born July 4, 1936 in Anderson, Indiana to the late John B. and Bessy A. (Beeson) Cook.

Richard graduated from Tiffin University and retired after 30 years of service as a salesman in the auto industry. He proudly served his country in the United States Army serving in Korea before being honorably discharged. Richard was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, DAV, and the Moose.

Richard is survived by a son, Richard A. Cook of Findlay; daughters, Debra England, Chandra Frost both of Findlay, Tami Mankin of Fostoria, and Kendra Howard of Prestonsburg, KY; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Cook of Anderson, IN. He was preceded in death by siblings, John, James, Keith, and Frank Cook, Carolyn (Sue) Campbell, and Fairy (Cook) Aynes.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). The Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad will perform full military rites at the funeral home. There will be a dinner following immediately at AMVETS Post 21, 423 W. Trenton Ave., Findlay. Memorial contributions in Richard’s name may be made to the family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
