Olin D. Nuzum, 70, of Findlay, and formerly of Arlington Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky with his wife and brother Conrad by his side. He was born August 2, 1943, in Leroy, West Virginia to the late Olin D. and Anna F. (Wilkinson) Nuzum. He married Sharon S. Walter on June 8, 1968 and she survives.
Olin was a 1961 graduate of Westwood High School in Weston, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Whirlpool after 38 years of service and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Findlay.
Olin is survived by two sons, Greg D. Nuzum of Findlay, and Gary W. Nuzum of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Angela L. (Edward) Legg of Liberty Center; two grandchildren, Austin and Annika; and five siblings, Delmer Nuzum of Bluffton, Delores (Daryl) Bushong of Mt. Blanchard, Violet Hupp of Bloomdale, Alfreda (Herbert) Fellwock of Punnichy, Canada, and Conrad (Judy) Nuzum of Bluffton. He was preceded in death by two nieces; a nephew; three brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; a step-brother-in-law; and a former sister-in-law.
Friends and Family may visit Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at Findlay First Church of the Nazarene with a time of visitation one hour prior (10-11) to the funeral. Pastor Mike McClurg will be officiating. Burial will follow the service in Lee Cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting full military rites. Memorial contributions in Olin’s name may be made to Findlay First Church of the Nazarene, the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
