Roger D. Schroen, 64, of Findlay, passed away at 2:58 P.M on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Blanchard Valley Dialysis Services. He was born September 16, 1949 to the late Jacob and Margie (Wooley) Schroen. He married Bonnie (Evans) Schroen and they shared 37 years together.
Roger served his country proudly in the US Navy. He was a laborer for Norfolk-Southern where he retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed animals, his children, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Mark Schroen, Jill (Chris) Cascaden; grandchildren, Skyler, Logan, Jacob, Ava, Mackenzie, Katelynn, and Alexa; and brother, Marvin (Judy) Schroen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Harry Miller.
Friends and Family may visit Friday, June 20, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in Arcadia Cemetery with the Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad performing full military rites. Memorial contributions in Roger’s name may be made to the family.
