Sara C. Rosenberger, 93, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Taylor House. She was born in Findlay on October 30, 1924 to the late Pearl and Cora Glenn (Van Atta) Williams. On July 27, 1947, she married Robert G. Rosenberger and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2011. Sara is survived by sons, John (Susan), David, and R. Neil Rosenberger; and daughters, Lois (Dan) Steinman and Sue (Steven) Lehmann. She was a grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sara was also preceded in death by her brother, Maurice Williams and a sister, Maralyn Ruth Williams.
Upon graduation from high school, she worked as a bookkeeper at Walter Shoe Store. After marriage, Sara’s primary role was a homemaker for the family. She was well known for her resourcefulness for preserving their garden harvest and for her excellent cooking and baking skills. Sara and Bob were members at Mt. Zion U.M. Church near Arlington, Ohio while they lived on their farm outside of Mt. Blanchard. When they moved to Findlay in later years, they transferred to St. Paul’s U.M. Church where they had been married as a young couple. They were fortunate to enjoy many years of good health and several winters in Florida.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Sara’s name may be made to Youth for Christ, P. O. Box 514, Findlay, Ohio 45840 or St. Paul’s U.M. Church, 218 E. Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio.
