Harold G. Inbody, 85, of Findlay, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at The Meadows of Leipsic. He was born on December 12, 1932 in Van Buren Township, Putnam County to the late Clare L. and Alverta M. (Glore) Inbody. In August 1955, he married Janet A. Weissling and they divorced.

Harold is survived by his sister, LoAnn Burman of Pandora, OH; children, Jerry A. (Ulfa) Inbody of Ironton, OH, Susan L. Inbody-Cogley of McComb and Jane L. Meyer of Gilboa; grandchildren, Jessica (Joseph) DiTommaso, Tony (Carrie) Cogley, Keith (Devin) Inbody and Isabella Inbody; step-grandchildren, Rara (Travis) Bowling, Egar Nusantara and Edo (Ashley) Rinaldi; great-grandchildren, AJ and Luca DiTommaso; and step-great-grandchildren, Demitri Bowling and Kenzo Rinaldi. Harold was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Inbody; sister, Mary Ellen Inbody; and grandson, Justin Meyer.

Harold was a 1950 graduate of Blanchard High School (Gilboa, OH). He retired from Marathon’s Findlay transport garage in 1994 after dedicating 33 years as a mechanical technician/welder. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time helping his family; usually fixing, digging, building or tearing down something. He was also quite gifted at occasionally getting a grandkid out of trouble. “If Grandpa couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed.” Harold loved being a grandpa as he spent much of his time at horse shows, sporting events, car races and music recitals. He was an avid fan of the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets and McComb Panthers. He also loved to “tinker” with antiques and farm equipment, especially his International Farmall H tractor. Harold’s favorite place to eat was the Pilgrim Restaurant which he affectionately called “The Pilgrim Pancake.” He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Seeing Grandpa pull up in his Chevy pickup or his Buick will be a memory we will never forget and will forever miss.

Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4 – 8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500).
