
Robert Gene Webster, age 86, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on May 18, 1932 in Archbold, OH to the late Wilson S. and Florence I. (Keck) Webster. On July 1981, Robert and Elaine Huff were united in marriage and shared 37 years together.
Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved his cat, Murphy. He was a member of the DAV, enjoyed fishing and remodeling. Robert was an Army veteran of the Korean War, having served from 1952 – 1954 before being honorably discharged.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; two daughters, Pam (Mike) Smith and Cheryl (Dwight) Brown; step-daughter, Denise (Dennis) Craft; and step-sons, Brad and Dennis Webb. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael Smith and Natasha Martin; and step-mother, Ruth Webster. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 12 – 2 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Reverend Terry McBeath officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery with the Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad conducting full military rites. Memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of NW Ohio or to the Charity of the Donor’s choice.
