Roberta Paynter, of Celina, peacefully passed away at the age of 53 on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at her residence with her loving family beside her. She was born on September 29, 1965 in Ronceverte, WV to Fred S. Paynter and Linda (Defibaugh) Morehart. On March 2, 2005, Roberta married Jeff Howard, he survives. Roberta was a devoted mother and grammy. A loving wife and she loved her dog, Matty and her cat, Trudy. She was also a former truck driver.
Also surviving is her mother, Linda; daughters, Krista Ibarra (Seth) of Findlay, Kimberly Martin (Matthew) of Arlington, Brittany Oates (Steven) of Forest; son, David Oates (Cassie) of Findlay; two step-daughters, Dawn Oates of Toledo and Brandy Lanagan (Rob) of Findlay; and 12 precious grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Paynter (Mary) of Findlay, Fred Paynter (Angela) of Forest, Stacey Paynter (Holly) of Mansfield; and sister, Kimberly Moore (Michael) of Arlington. Roberta was preceded in death by her father, Fred Shelton Paynter; and son-in-law, Derek Darwood Howard; and her step-father, James Morehart.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 12 p.m. with visitation one hour prior (11 a.m. – 12 p.m.) to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Terry McBeath will officiate. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Roberta’s name may be made to the Family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
