
Walter L. Shrman Jr., 71, of Findlay, peacefully passed away in his home on Sunday, September 1, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born November 19, 1947 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Walter L. and Anna L. (Haase) Shuman Sr. Walter married Diana Loveless and she survives in Findlay. He served in the US Navy from 1966 – 1968 before being honorably discharged. Walter retired as a member of the National Guard and was a past member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved spending time with his family, his dog, and enjoyed outdoor activities.
Walter is survived by his wife, Diana; his son, Scott (Tammi) Shuman of Findlay; and one grandson, Eldon Ibarra; his brother, Michael (Shirley) Shuman; sisters, Anna (Jim) Sexton, and Edith Boerst; and aunt, Donna Hoseman. He is also survived by his special friends, Sheri R., Shawn R., Chad B., Paul and Becky F., Clayton M., and Jammers “The Dog”. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Bert Shuman.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Following visitation the Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad will perform full military rites.
