Sally Ann Evans, 76, of Findlay, was received into the arms of her loving Saviour at 3:10 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Sally was born on July 31, 1938 in Canton, Ohio to the late Carl H. and Carrie (Welsh) Smith. She married Forest Lee Evans, Jr. on August 8, 1953 and he survives. Sally retired after 15 years at Scarbrough Pharmacy.
Sally was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a selfless caregiver to her husband for many years and was an example of grace, dignity, and kindness, always putting others before herself. She was adored and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, family members and many others who were touched by her grace and unconditional love.
Sally is survived by her husband of 61 years, Forest Lee Evans, Jr.; children, Jean Crandall, Jane (Dallas) Kline, Sarah Tesnow, David (Minette) Evans, Susan (Dante) Machir, all of Findlay, Cynthia (James) Jones of Talking Rock, GA, Elizabeth (Michael) Phillips of Saratoga Springs, NY; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Carol Ruckstuhl of North Cape May, NJ; and brother, James Smith of Bradenton, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Michael Tesnow.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Blair Hayward officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Sally’s name may be made to Chopin Hall or charity of the donor’s choice.
