Mark K. Buckingham, 51, of Findlay, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on December 3, 1962 in Findlay to Jim and Dorothy (Higley) Buckingham. He married Kelly (Bolander) Buckingham on December 28, 2000 and she survives.
Mark graduated from Findlay High School in 1981 and from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1983. He also attended Capitol University in Columbus. He has been employed by Nissin Brake for 13 years.
Mark loved fishing, working in the garden, maintaining his aquariums, and traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed spending time with their cats, Tank, Sneakers, and Shasha. Mark was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Findlay. He was a member of Fort Findlay Chapter Order of DeMolay where he served as a councilor, and was awarded the Chevalier Degree from International Supreme Council Order of DeMolay. He was a former member of Findlay Masonic Lodge No.227.
Mark is survived by his wife; parents; sister, Cynthia Buckingham; brother, Matthew Buckingham; nephew, Justin Buckingham; niece, Clarissa LaLonde; in-laws, Paul (Janet) Bolander; brother-in-law, Richard; and “adopted” daughters Mackenzie and Taylor Franklin.
Friends and family may visit from 1:00-4:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. the funeral home with Pastor Paul DeMoss officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Mark’s name may be made to the Salvation Army.
