Dean H. Owen, 57, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on February 24, 1961 to the late Clyde D. and Karletta A. (Stuber) Owen. Dean married Kitty Green and she preceded him in death.
Dean was an avid clock maker and gun collector. He was a huge Chicago Bears fan and belonged to the VFW. Dean loved spending time with his grandkids. He leaves behind his most loved cats, Sunshine and Lucy. Dean proudly served his country in the U. S. Army before being honorably discharged.
Dean is survived by his daughter, Jesse Hertel of Findlay; two grandchildren, Owen Hertel and Korbin O’Brien both of Findlay. He is also survived by sisters, Nicci A. (Owen) McMeechan of Muncie, IN and Deanna S. Owen of Ft. Wayne, IN. Surviving also are his best friends, James B. Knott of Findlay, Loretta and Ben Staley of Lima.
The family would like to thank the staff at Blanchard Valley Hospital for their care and P & A Industries for their kindness shown to Dean.
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). The Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad will perform full military rites at the conclusion of visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Dean’s name may be made to the Family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
