Ted E. Shuck, 83, of Findlay, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at The Legacy at The Heritage. He was born on November 19, 1934 in Amanda Township, Ohio to the late Harlan “Scoot” and Dorothy (Myers) Shuck. Ted married M. (Louise) Corbin on June 4, 1954 and she preceded him in death.
Ted graduated from Vanlue High School in 1953 and farmed his entire life. He retired from Dow Chemical after 20 years. He attended Houcktown United Methodist Church. Ted enjoyed spending time with his wife of 52 years and his children. He adored his grandchildren.
Ted is survived by his children, Brad (Deb) Shuck of Vanlue, OH, Dan Shuck of Fremont, OH, Cheryl (Dennis) Snyder of Findlay, OH, Ed (Deb) Shuck of rural Arlington, OH and Tim (Barbara) Shuck of Belmont, MI; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Thomas (Jan) Corbin of Findlay, and Jack Arlington of Alabama; and a sister-in-law, Nola Beach of rural Mt. Cory, OH. Ted was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan Shuck; two sisters, Wilma Arlington and JoAnn Fenstermaker; and brothers-in-law, Charles Fenstermaker and Robert Corbin II.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 3rd at the funeral home with Pastor Alphonse Schnipke officiating. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Ted, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 1800 N. Blanchard St., Ste. 110, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
