Janis Kaye Marshall, 71, of Findlay, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was the only daughter born to the late William P. and Margery R. (Chatelain) Hough on July 9, 1947 in Findlay, Ohio. Janis married Lindsay Ellcessor and later divorced. She then married Alvin D. Marshall and they later divorced.
Janis was a Riverdale graduate and retired from Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. She was an ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) contributor and attended the Stonebridge Church of God in Findlay. Janis loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Janis is survived by her children, Chris (Tanya) Marshall, Doug (Sue) Marshall, and Missy (Jeff Marok) Chester; 9 grandchildren, Kirsten, Kendra, Alyssa, Christopher, Brittany, Tasha, Maddie, Haley, and Mason; 9 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Mike (Kathy) Hough. Janis leaves behind her beloved dog, Gracie. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Jack and Jeff; and a great-granddaughter, Ariana.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at Stonebridge Church of God, 2111 Stonehedge Dr., Findlay, Ohio 45840. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation on Friday at 4 p.m. at the church with a meal to follow. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
