Arthur (Art) Eugene Lentz, age 92, of Findlay, Ohio passed away on the 12th of November, 2018 at the Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay. Art was born in Carey, Ohio, on April 10th, 1926. He was the son of the late Paul E. and Florence E. (Copus) Lentz. Art proudly served in the United States Army from June 1954 to July 1955 before receiving an honorable discharge under medical conditions. He worked construction as a labor and a farm hand retiring from Concrete Pipe in 1991.
Art married the late Pearl Michael and they had 5 children, Mary Wright of Indiana, Barbara Saiter of Findlay, Larry of Tiffin (deceased), Donald of Alaska (deceased) and Gary of Kentucky. Art and Pearl were divorced.
Art married Margurite Toth and they had 6 children, Mike (Cheryl) of Arlington, Carol (Jeff) Vanatta of Findlay, Anna (Joe) Shrider of Findlay, Patty (Randy) Powell of Rawson, Richard (Sue) of Bairdstown and Bruce (Karen) of Findlay. Margurite preceded him in death.
Art is survived by a brother, John Lentz of North Baltimore. He was preceded in death by sisters, Leota Lafferty, Mary Hartman and Dorothy Lentz; brothers, George (Shorty), Earl and Dave Lentz.
Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14 with Pastor Rick Broughton officiating. Interment will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, with the Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad performing full military rites.
