Raymond Joseph Hall, age 80, of Findlay, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was the son of the late Gordon B. and Mary A. (Dodge) Hall, born on March 2, 1938, in Somerville, MA. On January 3, 1986, Raymond was united in marriage to Patricia Roberts, a marriage that would last 32 years.

Raymond was the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Electronics Representative Association (ERA) for 40+ years and served as the Administrator of the ERA Insurance Trust (RepCare). He was also a member of the Association’s Hall of Fame. Raymond served in the United States Marines before being honorably discharged.

Throughout his career, Ray loved to share his knowledge and passion of the manufacturers’ representative profession and the association management industry, and he never hesitated to mentor anyone. He served as an officer and board member of many organizations, including the American Society of Association Executives, the Association Forum, the Small Business Legislative Council, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 and the Center for Exhibition Industry Research. He served on the advisory boards of ITT Sheraton, Sonesta Hotels, Associated Luxury Hotels Intl., Buena Vista Hotels, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, American Airlines and Meeting News. He was a founding member of Meeting Planners International and is a member of its Hall of Fame. The additional awards he received over the years are too many to list.

Ray was a devoted friend to so many, and he loved and cherished them all. He savored traveling the world and sharing the stories that followed. He enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble with friends and family, and he loved sports, especially the World Series-winning Cubs, the Bears and all golf.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, and son, Chris (Kami) Kosch of Findlay; his daughters, Kathy M. (Jeff) Green of Chicago and Tracey P. (Joel) Stewart of Roland, Iowa; and eight beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Robert O. Hall. His son, Raymond J. Hall, Jr., son-in-law, John D. Pepper, and brother, Gordon Bradford Hall, preceded Raymond in death.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the Blanchard Valley Hospital staff and Cardiac Care Unit doctors, nurses, and support staff for their incredible dedication, service, compassion, and expertise during our difficult time.
In keeping with his love of springtime, and especially St. Patrick’s Day, a memorial service will be held next spring. In the interim, condolences and memorial donations for the family can be sent to Patricia Hall, 15343 S. Watermark Dr., Findlay, OH 45840. Memorial donations can also be directed to the City Mission of Findlay, 510 W. Main Cross St., Findlay, OH 45840
