Mark J. Reed

Mark Jay Reed, 53, of Findlay, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 2, 1965 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Paul J. and Kathryn (Durbin) Reed. Mark married Vickie (Crawford) Royer and they divorced. He later married Brandie (Copeland) Cramer and they divorced. Mark enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, had a collection of beer cans, and was an avid Ohio State fan.

Mark is survived by his son, Kyle J.; sister, Jayanne; nieces, Ashley and Joeanne; and nephews, Matthew and Timothy. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will be held in Knollcrest Cemetery at a later date. Doris Ann Nichols, 74, of Arcadia, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born April 1, 1943 in Colchester, Connecticut to the late Walter and Pauline (Chojnowski) Ziemiensky.

Doris is survived by her son, Lee Nichols; grandchild, Howard Nichols; and her sister, Rose Cone.

Arnulfo “Arnie” S. Contreras

Arnulfo “Arnie” Salaz Contreras, 60, of Findlay, suddenly passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lima, Ohio on December 20, 1957 to the late Luis Ortiz “La Polka” and Felicitas Contreras. He married Marsha Rutter Anderson and they later divorced. On September 3, 2016 he married Jennifer Dearth and she survives him.

Arnie retired from Whirlpool after 38 ½ years of service. He was also a member of the Eagles.

Arnie is survived by his wife, Jennifer; sons, Ryan and Brad (Tiffany) Contreras; and his step-daughter, Hattie Dearth; 4 grandchildren, Quintin and Garrison Contreras, Octavian and Zaiden Gonzales. He is also survived by his brothers, John (Chris) and Mike Flores, Mario (Mary), Jesse, and Santos Contreras. Arnulfo was preceded in death by his brother, Armando Contreras.

Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Randy K. Rodenberger

Randy K. Rodenberger, 68, of Findlay, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born to the late Gerald Rodenberger and Dorothy (Bartlett) Rogers on October 4, 1949 in Kenton, Ohio.

Randy was a proud U.S. Air Force and Vietnam Veteran, serving our country as a Fire Protection Specialist from 1969 – 1973 before being honorably discharged. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his great-granddaughter. Randy also enjoyed spending time with his close friends.

Randy is survived by his son, Clifton Rodenberger; daughter, Traci Rodenberger (Seth); two grandchildren, Katelyn Tennant and Aiden Ludwig; one great-granddaughter, Laina Richcreek; and his former wife, Carol Rodenberger. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Rodenberger, and step-brother, Jack Jr. (Bub) Rogers; and sisters, Karin (Myron) Rodenberger and Kathy (Bill) Detwiler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Rogers; and his step-sister, Jackie Rogers.

Ethel “Arlene” Sleasman

E. Arlene Sleasman, 79, of Findlay passed away peacefully at her residence and went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2018. She was born on April 17, 1938 to the late William F. Durstine and Emma Grace (Blystone) Durstine in Fayette County, Champion, Pennsylvania.

Arlene graduated in 1957 from Connellsville Joint High School, Connellsville, PA. Arlene married Donald R. Sleasman on November 27, 1958. He was the love of her life for 58 years. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2017. Together they raised four children, they had 13 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 11great-grandchildren. She loved them all so very much. She was known to them as Maw Maw and they gave her such joy. Arlene was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sandra L. Parker; son-in-law, Scott B. Van Heck; grandson, Bryce A. Van Heck; brothers, William A. Durstine and Milton Leroy Durstine; sisters, Shirley M. Hamlin, Jean Santucci, and Gladys Durstine; and a nephew, Mark A. Stillwagon.

Arlene was a homemaker and enjoyed baking her cookies, cakes, and pies. She always had goodies to share. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a member of the College First Church of God. In her earlier years of marriage, she and Donald joined the churches bowling league. Arlene liked planting her flowers and a vegetable garden, especially her tomato plants. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing on Lake Erie, and spending time at her home away from home at Paradise Acres Campground for 25 years.

Arlene is survived by her children, Sharon (Kevin Gossard) Van Heck of Arlington, OH, Rodney (Kerri) Sleasman of Arcadia, OH and Richard (Amy) Sleasman of Findlay, OH; a sister, Janet Durstine of Mammoth, PA; sisters-in-law, Betty DeWitt, Elaine Durstine, Betty Durstine; brother-in-law, Paul Casey Santucci; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jesse Sleasman, Brian (Hannah) Van Heck, Brock Van Heck, Christopher Sleasman, Joshua and Taylor Parker, Dylan Tennison, Matthew (Nicole), Bret, Mark, Seth and Emma Sleasman; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Bostyn and Maddox Sleasman, Bentley Rader, Marli and Lilli Sleasman, Ellie Sleasman, Mack Van Heck, Elizabeth Parker, Ethan and Noah Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews, including her namesake Arlene Freeman.

Arlene was a kind, caring, compassionate person to all who knew her. She was thankful for God’s blessings in her life, especially for her family and friends. She will be forever loved and dearly missed by all.

Shirley A. (Guyton) Reneau

Shirley Ann (Guyton) Reneau, went to be with her Lord January 24. She passed peacefully after suffering for years with Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s. Born December 22, 1936, Shirley grew up in Melrose, Ohio and graduated from Oakwood High School. Shortly thereafter, she met that “Navy fella” Elton Reneau. Married on December 7, 1954, they enjoyed sixty two years of marriage until Elton’s passing last February.

Mom had a great love for family and her God. She constantly made the drive from Findlay to Melrose to visit and take care of her parents and siblings. Mom was a very hard worker in whatever she was doing. She loved to walk and could be seen often around the neighborhood strolling along with Julye. Mom and dad attended church faithfully spending many years as members of the Bright Road Church of Christ.

No woman ever had more patience and perseverance-both requirements to be married sixty two years to E.R. Mom was a quiet woman, but would speak her mind when pressed. She will be greatly missed.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Bart (Lisa) and Jim (Julye); seven grandchildren, Megan (Findlay), Lindsay (Indianapolis), Cody (Clarksville, TN.), Jayme (North Baltimore), Jenna (Findlay), JJ (Annapolis, MD.), Tyler (El Paso, TX.); and six great grandchildren.

Special thanks to St. Catherine’s Manor in Fostoria and Bridge Hospice for their compassionate care of mom.

Pamela Ruth Bardo, 77, of Findlay, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born in North Baltimore, Ohio on November 14, 1940 to the late Kenneth and Ruth L. (Kelley) Troutner. Pam married William Fredette and they divorced. She subsequently married Nick Bardo and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2017.

Pam worked at Whirlpool and RCA before retiring. She was a member of the Upper Room Church of God. Pam enjoyed gardening, giving gifts and listening to workship music. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren making memories.

Pam is survived by her two sons, Erik (Carolyn) Fredette of Findlay, OH, and Bill (Renee) Fredette of Florence, KY; seven grandchildren, Elijah, Elody, Edy and Ezra Fredette all of Florence, and Dakota, Kaiden and Khyler Fredette all of Findlay. She is also survived by her brother, Doug (Francis) Troutner of North Baltimore; and sisters, Mary B. Martinez of Findlay, and Karen (Larry) Andrews of Kent, OH. Pam was preceded in death by a sister, Naida Troutner; and step-mother, Marvel Troutner.

Sharon A. Clymer

Sharon Ann Clymer, 71, of Findlay, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in her home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born September 8, 1946 to John and Elgene (Nelson) Pore.

Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School. She married Thomas Clymer on September 25, 1965 and they raised their three children near Benton Ridge. The family enjoyed trips to Ohio’s Amish Country and the Great Smoky Mountains where they also celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Sharon will always be remembered for her selfless and unconditional affection for her family. She was a devout Christian. She also loved gardening around her home.

Sharon was a fighter. She survived a stroke in 2007 and fought cancer for three years.

Sharon is survived by her husband Thomas; children, Deborah (Neil) Brown, Thomas Clymer Jr., and Jason (Sarah) Clymer; grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Jacob Brown, Joshua Clymer, Katelyn Clymer, and Amanda Clymer; mother, Elgene Neiswander; siblings, Jerry (Vickie) Pore, and Bradley Pore. She is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, John Pore; and sister, Roberta (John) Peterson.

Grace Hites

Grace Hites, 96, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Monday, February 5, 2018 at Birchaven Village. She was born on May 23, 1921 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Hebern and Mintie (Rice) Fitzpatrick. On November 9, 1945, Grace married her love, Cecil E. Hites, who preceded her in death on December 5, 1990.

Grace and her husband were the owners of Hites Market Grocery in Springfield. She was later employed by Ohio Department of Rehabilitation for the blind. Grace was a member of Gateway Church and First Christian Church in Springfield.

Grace greatly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and faithfully served Him throughout her life. Each of her family members held a very special place in her heart and brought much happiness to her. She also enjoyed time with her friends, caring for others, and her cat.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Janice L. (Terry) Boblitt; two grandchildren, Randall W. Boblitt of Troy, OH and Kevin L. Boblitt of Huber Heights, OH; and three great-grandchildren, Sienna R. Boblitt of Troy, OH, Hannah S. Boblitt of Huber Heights, OH and Samuel A. Boblitt of Huber Heights, OH. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Charlotte Boblitt of Troy, OH and Elizabeth Boblitt of Huber Heights, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Spears; and granddaughter, Shari L. Boblitt.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bridge Hospice and Birchaven nursing staff and employees for extraordinary care at the facility.

Caroline M. Dunham

Caroline Mae Dunham died peacefully on Tuesday, February 6 in Findlay. Born on November 16, 1926 in Hancock County to Golda Wells and Marion Green. She attended Arlington High School and the University Of Cincinnati College Of Nursing. Caroline was married to John R. Dunham, and they later divorced. She was last employed by the Findlay Country Club, where she served as Office Manager.

Caroline is survived by three children, Susan (Nelson) Treadway of Findlay, Jane (Tim Scianamblo) of Bend, Oregon and John (Patti) Dunham of Cincinnati. Grandchildren are Christine (Devin) Kehoe of Hudson, Adam (Carla) Treadway of Findlay, Nicholas Treadway of Columbus, Sarah Snyder of Costa Mesa, California, Neale Snyder of
Columbus, and Elisabeth, Sam and Isabelle Dunham of Cincinnati. She has three great-grandchildren, Allie Caroline and Max William Kehoe of Hudson, and Tenley Ellen Treadway of Findlay. Caroline was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cathy Lee.

Throughout her life, Caroline embodied a caring and loving demeanor that won the hearts of many. Her signature gift of caring for her family and friends will never be forgotten. Caroline faithfully cared for family and friends, always remembering birthdays and anniversaries and picking out just the right gift or card or baked good for the occasion. She was a selfless mother who always put her childrens’ needs above her own. Her utmost joy was cheering her grandchildren on, be it hockey, cheerleading, swimming, diving, soccer, baseball, band, orchestra, choir, dance, volleyball, or lacrosse. She was their biggest fan.

Caroline was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Caroline’s name to the church. Aside from financial donations, we know Caroline would appreciate loving acts of kindness in her name: send a card, give a hug, or say “I love you” to someone in her memory.

Carolyn S. Mann

Carolyn S. Mann, age 90, of Findlay, OH, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, joining her beloved husband Fred in Heaven. It was a long awaited reunion.

Born in Denver, CO, Carolyn was a city girl and was smitten when she met a country boy who was stationed at Ft. Lowry AFB, CO. The sweethearts married in 1953 before he was discharged. They moved to Dunkirk, OH and later made their home in Findlay, OH. She dedicated her career to RCA and retired in 1988. After Fred’s passing in 2000, she stayed local and then moved to Maryland with her daughter, Yvonne and her husband, Chad.

Carolyn had a great love for God and her family. At any given opportunity she would pray with you and share the great love of Jesus. She was a generous and faithful servant and was such a blessing to others. Carolyn was affiliated with the following churches, Hope Temple, New Life Assembly of God and Findlay Grace Brethren, the last church Fred and her attended together. The world may be a little dimmer without her but Heaven is shining bright. She loved well on others and it showed.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Fred. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne R. House (Chad); grandchildren, Blair Smith of Clarksville, TN and Collin Smith (Ashley) of Ft. Wainwright, AK; and great-granddaughter Bella Mia.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark,DE. A second visitation will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Road, Findlay, OH. Interment will be held privately at Dunkirk Cemetery.

Janet Ann Schimmoller

Janet Ann Schimmoller, 79, of Pandora, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was born May 3, 1938 in Findlay, Ohio to the late John A. and Helen (Baker) Weissling. Janet married Harold Inbody and they divorced. On June 13, 1981, she married Eugene (Gene) Schimmoller and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2010.

Janet worked as an Assistant for Dr. M. Parekh’s office and retired from Kuss Corporation. She was known to rescue cats and dogs, and loved shopping and helping others. Janet loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with them.

Janet is survived by her son, Jerry (Ulfa) Alyn Inbody of Ironton, OH; daughters, Sue Inbody-Cogley of McComb, OH and Jane Inbody-Meyer of Gilboa, OH; grandchildren, Jessica, Tony, Keith, Bella, Rara, Egar, Edo, Carrie, Shane, and Taylor; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Sherry Kuhlman of Ottawa, OH; and a step-son, B. Scott Schimmoller of Queen Creek, AZ. Janet was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Meyer.

Salvatore Stephen “Sam” Brancaleone, 76, of Findlay and formerly of Michigan, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his daughter Lisa’s home. He was born April 9, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Stephen J. and Patricia M. (Marino) Brancaleone. Salvatore was previously married to Lynda C. Brancaleone and she survives him.

Salvatore was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Findlay Art League. In his early 20’s, he embraced his passion of photography. Taking film and still photos of family and nature.

Salvatore is survived by his sons, Todd S. and Colin M. Brancaleone both of Macomb, MI; daughters, Lisa A. Hoekstra of Findlay, OH and Shari L. Heilig of St. Clair, MI; eight grandchildren, Adam J. Heilig, Matthew G. Lacelle, Ashton N. Lacelle, Alyssa M. Heilig, Alec M. Lacelle, Amanda R. Heilig, Elizabeth A. Hoekstra, and Salvatore S. Hoekstra; and one great-granddaughter, Raelynn R. Heilig. He is also survived by his brothers, James A. Brancaleone of Montclair, NJ and Stephen J. Brancaleone of Eloy, AZ.

David W. Hildreth

David W. Hildreth, 55, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born March 5, 1962 in Kenton, Ohio to the late LeRoy and Patty (Willison) Hildreth. On July 12, 1990, David married Nina Mae Drake and she survives in Findlay.

David greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Nina, David is survived by his sons, Andy (Lesa) Howard of Van Buren, OH and Steven (Alisha) Drake of Dunkirk, OH; and grandchildren, Mia Howard of Van Buren, Noah and Arabella Drake, both of Dunkirk. His is also survived by a sister, Judy (Bill) Brewington of Hope Hull, AL. David was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven and Ronald Hildreth.

A Memorial service will be held for David at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Only Believe Ministries, 809 S. Detroit Street, Kenton, Ohio 43326. Pastor Phillip Walker will officiate. Michael J. Sawmiller, 66, of Bluffton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lima, Ohio to the late Cyril and Wilmena (Kent) Sawmiller on September 28, 1951. On September 30, 1989 Michael married Cheryle Anderson and she survives him in Bluffton.

Michael enjoyed motorcycle riding, hunting, and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his wife Cheryle, sons, James and Michael W. Sawmiller; stepson, Justin Frese; daughters, Christian Anderson and Tiffini Mitchell; twenty-one grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service for Michael will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Tri-County Family Assembly of God, 835 N. Main St., Bluffton, Ohio 45817. Pastor Terry Hunt to officiate. Randy Lee Essinger, 39, of Findlay, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on May 4, 1978 to Bobby G. and Patricia A. (Smith) Essinger.

Randy loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed going camping. He was always the life of the party. Randy would always be there to help out a family member or friend. He also loved spending time at the beach. But most of all, Randy loved his son Javen, his dog, and his family.

In addition to his mother, Patricia and father, Bobby, Randy is survived by his son, Javen Essinger of Findlay; brothers, Roger (Misty) Essinger, Casey Essinger, brother-in-law, David Colvin all of Findlay; sisters, Kristine (Matt) Colvin of North Fort Myers, Florida; and sister-in-law, Linda Weyer of Findlay. He is also survived by his nieces, Hailey Colvin, ShayLynn Colvin, Zoe Brault, Alyssa Brandeberry and Izabell Colvin; his nephews, Jordan Colvin, Dylan Essinger, Alex, Mikhael, and Andrew Weyer; aunts, LaDonna Smith, Patty Gault, and Sue Redmen; uncles, Bruce Smith, Dan Smith, Ron Smith, and Steve Smith; many cousins; and his dear friends Chipper, Brown, Bame and Tim. Randy leaves behind his beloved pet dog, Russia Ann Marie Essinger. Randy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Smith; maternal grandmother, Janette Smith; paternal grandfather, Jim Essinger; paternal uncles, Dick Essinger and Jimmy Essinger; and maternal brother-in-law, Milton Weyer III.

Charles W. Fuller
June 12, 1938 – February 24, 2018

Charles W. Fuller, known to some as ‘Bill’ and to many as ‘Chuck’, went to play the accordion for Jesus on February 24, 2018, at the age of 79 years old.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Chuck attended East High School, class of 1956. After graduating, he joined the Navy and proudly served as an Electrician for 12 years. When he retired as an Aviation Support Technician First Class from the Navy, he moved to Findlay, Ohio where he worked as a Volkswagen mechanic and at Cooper Tire. He was a man of great character and had an unshakeable faith. He loved to listen to great music, tell stories and jokes and watch his beloved Indians lose. He had an award-winning smile and a heart like no other. He was love.

He is preceded in death by his Parents: Raymond Theodore Fuller and Charlotte Lucille (Bach) Fuller, Sister: Maryanne Doolittle and Brother-in-Law: Robert ‘Bob’ Doolittle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Pinky June Fuller, Daughters and Son: Lauri (Jeff) Riggs, Jackie Fuller & Will (Evonne) Fuller, 6 grandchildren: Chelsea (Wally) Riggs, Abbi (Nate) Johnstone, Hailey (Travis) Blossom, Kaylin Fuller, Olivia Fuller, Brandy (Mike) Seaholm, 4 great-grandchildren: Evening Lucile, Lachlan James, Elijah Alan, Ailee Sage, 4 Nieces: Nancy Roy, Bobbi Kinney, Susan Smith, Vivian Ritchey and many awesome friends. A special thank you to his friend and aid Brent (Heather) Beggs.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Hufford Family Fuenral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay, Ohio 45840 (419) 422-1500. A Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 1 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Spann officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with the Hancock County Veteran’s Memorial Squad performing full military rites. Mary Alice Heavlin, 85, of Fostoria, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at her residence with her loving family beside her. She was born on August 29, 1932 in Wyandot County to the late Audley and Gladys (Alspach) Beaschler.

Mary was a inspector at A. O. Smith, retiring after 30 years of service.

Mary is survived by her children, John (Nancy) Conley Jr. of Tiffin, Ohio, Tim W. (Nora) Conley of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Gloria Baker of Port Clinton; five grandchildren, Shawn Conley, Kathi Elmore, Shannon Conley, Christey O’Malley, and Elizabeth Boger; and eight great-grandchildren. Mary leaves behind her best friends, Edna Armstrong and Carole King of Golden Girls of Westinghouse/AO Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Conley.

Susan A. Rizor, 75, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was born in Hancock County on June 6, 1942 to the late Carter and Eloise M. (Launder) Shisler.

Susan graduated from Forest High School and was a member of Cedar Creek Church. She retired from Great Scott Community Markets. She loved going shopping and eating out with her family.

Susan is survived by her sons, Wendell Rizor of McComb, Mark (Lori) Rizor of Findlay, Robert Rizor of Findlay, and Rex (Wendy) Rizor of Pandora; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Shisler of South Carolina, brothers, John W. Shisler of Findlay, Myrl E. (Sherry) Pash of Kenton, Lindsay (Barb) Pash of Findlay; sisters, Kristine E. (Louis) Steegman of Mt. Cory, and Madeline J. (Mark) Jolliff of Dunkirk. Susan was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Ronald G. Rizor I; a son, Ronald G. Rizor II; grandson, Jacob Rizor; a brother, Earl E. Shisler of South Carolina.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at BVH Hospice for their compassionate care shown to Susan.

Ricky E. Elliott, 63, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Bridge Hospice Care Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 28, 1954 in Lima, Ohio to the late David C. and Donna M. (Schwab) Elliott.

Rick retired after 20 years of service from the City of Findlay. He enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains, fishing, casinos and telling jokes. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 698 of Findlay. Rick loved his family and grandchildren and spending time with them, making lasting memories.

Rick is survived by his fiancé, Julie Neuleib; daughter, Heather (Karl) Uhde of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren, Aryin Foust, Tanner Foust and Reagan Rose; sisters, Pamela Clevenger and Sandra (Daniel) VanWormer, both of Findlay; step-sister, Laura Patterson of Findlay; and step-brother, Steven Oman of Findlay; and his ex-wife, Wilma Elliott of Findlay. He is also survived by Matthew Foust, his “partner in crime”. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria Garmatter; brothers, David (Tim) Elliott, Jeffrey Elliott and Randy (George) Elliott; step-father, Jacob Oman; paternal grandfather, John Elliott; and maternal grandmother, Frances Swankhouse.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A time of visitation will be held one hour prior (11-12 p.m.) to service. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 6 at the funeral home.
